Signs at the former mine in Climbach inaugurated

The working group for local history Allendorf an der Lumda e.V. has ceremoniously inaugurated the new signs at the former mine in Climbach on 01.12.2022. The interested reader will now find information about the geology of the middle Lumda valley as well as the lignite mine, which was built there in 1943 for the extraction of stratified coal, on two signs above the Climbach water house.

The association is committed to making historical buildings and facilities visible again and to putting them to good use so that they can also be used for tourism. Together with the forest garden and the water house, which will be inaugurated in 2021, the Homberg region is thus developing into an exciting and educational walking area.
